Designers Note
Hi everyone! I hope you are reading this in good health and happiness. I'm here to spread a little bit of positivity and inspiration. When this pandemic hit, we were all impacted in some way or another. During the early months of 2020, hospitals were crowded and going through PPE faster than normal. When I found out that nurses were having to reuse masks I was deeply saddened. I knew I could help out beyond staying home. So I got to work sewing hundreds of masks for hospitals, friends, and family. Sewing masks was my way to contribute and make a positive impact during such an unusual time. I have also filled a small order remotely to make masks on behalf of a fashion designer to donate to NYC hospitals. I'm proud to say I have made close to 800 masks.
As a creative, I'm trying to find ways to incorporate this new accessory into my wardrobe. I hope you continue to find reasons to dress up. Even if it's that a special pair of earrings with your pyjamas. I'm touched to make any positive impact on people. Thank you.
